I’ve finished a course from The CE Shop. Where is my certificate?+

Once you have finished a course at The CE Shop, your CE certificate will be uploaded instantly to your account for downloading and printing. 

What’s my login information?+

We don’t have access to that information. Contact The CE Shop for help.

Why doesn't NAR show that I took the Code of Ethics?+

Once you have completed "Cracking the Code of Ethics" through The CE Shop, you will need to submit the CE certificate to your Local Association/Board for credit with NAR. 

Webinar Questions

What does $19/location mean?+

Our webinars are $19 per location, rather than computer login. When you register for a webinar location, you can host as many agents as you’d like to view the webinar. It’s a great deal for broker owners to offer CE to their agents!

When do I get my CE certificate?+

Once you have submitted the course sign-in sheet, CE certificates will be available via your Member Profile within a week.

Why haven’t I received my login information for the webinar?+

The day before the webinar, we will send out an email with login instructions, handouts, and a sign-in sheet. Please fill out the provided sign-in sheet and then return it to OAR. We will then process it and send out CE certificates within the week.

I pay dues. Why do I have to pay for the webinar?+

We work hard to provide timely and relevant information from great instructors for our webinars. As such, we feel our webinars are a very good deal - $19 for quality education and CE for as many agents you would like to host in one location. The registration fee helps us host these webinars, covering technology and instructor fees.

But you don't have to pay the $19 for the information! We post all of our recorded on your YouTube Channel within a week of the actual webinar. You are welcome to listen to any of these webinars to receive this information. The recorded webinars don't count for CE credit, but are a great way to receive the information and stay abreast of current issues.

Webinar Library

I missed a webinar. Can I still get credit if I watch it on your YouTube Channel?+

Unfortunately, there is no way to offer CE unless you attend the live webinar. You can always access the information after the webinar is over on our YouTube channel. But unless you are there for the full webinar at the time specified we can't offer CE. 

GRI Questions

How do I earn the GRI Designation?+

To earn the GRI, you must take 60 hours of approved GRI content. You can take any combination of our core courses to meet your first 30 hours and then additional core courses OR approved designations and certificates to complete your second 30 hours of content. You can essentially walk out with the GRI, 60 hours of CE credit, and a couple other designations/certificates! Talk about triple dipping.

I started the GRI but haven’t been able to finish. When will more courses be offered?+

All of our GRI core courses are listed on our calendar. Once you start the GRI process, you have 5 years to complete all neccessary courses and earn your GRI designation. 

 

 

If you have taken the GRI 100 or GRI 200 modules between 2007 - 2012, you receive 15 credit hours (per module) to use towards the GRI Core Course credit hours. If you have taken GRI 100 and 200 within the allotted time period, your 30 hours of GRI Core Courses requirement is met. Email the OAR Education Department with any specific questions on how to use your GRI 100 or 200 credit. Only valid through 2017, must submit for GRI graduation by December 31, 2017.

How often am I required to take the Law & Rule Required Course (LARRC)?+

To renew your Oregon Real Estate Agency license, you must take the LARRC during every two-year renewal period.

How often am I required to take the Code of Ethics?+

To maintain your NAR membership and continue to be a REALTOR®, you must take the Code of Ethics during every biennial time period. The next deadline is December 31, 2018. Check to see if you have completed the course by clicking the "View My Education Records" link on this page.

I’m not a member, but I would like to register for a webinar or course. Is that possible?+

Absolutely! Call OAR at (800) 252-9115 and we will process your registration over the phone.

I took a course with OAR but I haven’t received my CE certificate. +

Following each OAR CE course, CE certificates will be available via your Member Profile within a week.

Do you offer any pre-licensing education?+

At this time, neither OAR nor The CE Shop offers pre-licensing education. Check with the Oregon Real Estate Agency for a list of their approved schools.

Do you have a record of the courses I have taken?+

We only have records of the courses you have taken with the Oregon Association of REALTORS®. You can view your Event History here (login required). Email OAR with any additional questions.

I need to renew my license at the end of this month. Where can I get CE hours?+

You have a few options:

Offering CE

I, or my company, would like to offer CE. What do we do?+

If you are a Local Board/Association, contact the OAR Education department and we can help you!

Otherwise, please contact the Oregon Real Estate Agency for more information.

Do you have a list of courses or topics that you use for education courses that I can have to bring CE to my office, board, or association?+

We prefer to maintain flexibility to determine class topics based on market needs. If you’d like to utilize OAR resources to help you schedule education in your area, please contact the OAR Education department directly so we can help you on a case-by-case basis.

Do you have a list of instructors that you use for education courses from which I can pick someone to teach a course for my organization?+

We do not maintain a formal instructor pool and instead determine who will teach courses based on the topic needed.

Do you have a list of venues or facilities across the state that I can use to pick a location for an education/event?+

We do not have a list of preferred venues but could assist you with your particular need based on our experience. Please contact us so we can help.
